EU PREPROD - TP 8.0 Rollout from 2024-12-03 09:00 UTC to 2024-12-04 17:00 UTC

Upgrade is completed.

Last part of the upgrade is started.

Roll-out is completed for today, the backup LRC is handling 50% of the traffic using canary mode.
On Dev 4, the backend and main LRC will be upgraded. The administration panel and APIs will be closed a few hours during the day.

Upgrade is started (backup network server and pre-upgrades).

Actility Network Operations is going to install Thingpark Wireless and Enterprise 8.0 on EU PREPROD platform.

The currently running version is 7.3.6c.

This is a major release with the following impacts

• Packets may be lost or queued during network server switchover
• User may have to re-enter login information in GUI or API
• The provisioning (all API and UIs) will be closed during part of the maintenance window

The upgrade is scheduled over two days and will consist on the following operations:

• Preparation (the week before the upgrade) in background, to upgrade databases and message brokers, without impact
• Upgrade of standby Network Server, which will handle a small percentage of the traffic (canary upgrade) - on the first day
• Upgrade of the backend and the main Network Server - on the second day
• Post-upgrade tasks (background migrations and new feature activation)
